LETTER FROM THE AUTHOR:

If you want to inspire children “in the way they should go” these books are a must…as Jesus is the only way!  He is the Good Shepherd and He loves His sheep (see Proverbs 22:6).

Being a DUMB SHEEP means getting on your knees to surrender the choices you want…for the desires God has for you!  It means to wait silently, wait patiently and wait expectantly for Jesus to guide you in the way you should go.

These books aren’t perfect – some illustrations are rough around the edges and may be slightly off…and, I am far from perfect!  Although, my Mom and I always joked about how PERFECT we were…wink, wink!  However, the MESSAGE of each book is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!

Previously, I was asked how these books came to be.  It started with the death of my best friend (my Mother).  Then, there was betrayal by some family members…and it culminated with the loss of direction in my life.  I remember crying out numerous times…what now, Lord?

It was a “heart-wrenching” time!!  Ever go thru one of those?  Because we ALL go thru these times; we ALL experience these “heart-wrenching” trials…no matter what age.

This period (of wrenching) is how He got my attention!  It’s how He gave me the idea to be a “DUMB SHEEP” for Him.

For several years, I went through this period of being “crippled” in my mind, in my heart, in my direction and in everything else.

A period of not knowing where to go or what to do.  Then, God caused me to be “dumb” for Him!  Jesus basically insisted that I hang out in the “fold” and wait for Him to show me where to go.  His Spirit reminded me, “Don’t look around, don’t move, don’t try to do, don’t change the situation…just be in a place of dumbness!”

So, I did.  I was unable to move in all respects.  I lacked good judgment.  And, I didn’t know what purpose I had on this earth.

Yet, I knew I didn’t want to wander from His presence.  I wanted Him to hold onto me by a thread…because that’s what He can do!!

God created you to be HIS OWN…you and I are loved and adored by HIM!  Since Jesus is the Good Shepherd, we need (daily) to be guided by HIM!  I give all the glory to Him who created me.

Please know…as a child of God you will encounter hurts, sorrows and confusion.  Growing up in a Lutheran church I was taught: 1) if you do good things, nothing bad will happen to you and 2) forgiveness is a given with no real need to ask for it or give it to others.  However, my mind and heart had to be changed.

THE answer:  it’s a matter of humbling yourself, so the Good Shepherd can bring you thru it!  Allow Jesus and His Spirit to inspire you about being a DUMB SHEEP.  After all, He gave me the idea for each of these books!

I pray every TRUE Christian becomes a DUMB SHEEP!

And I hope these books inspire every non-believer to experience a conviction in their heart and mind to receive the Holy Spirit…and to be led by the ONLY Good Shepherd!

***side note:  the illustrations began with a young girl named Isabella who won a contest to do some illustrations.  After she inspired me (the author), I took over and hope she is inspired to continue to live as a DUMB SHEEP for the Lord!
